my story
For years I hustled and bustled in the corporate world giving my all for someone elseās dream. I was burnt out, exhausted and wanted to quit but didnāt know what to do.
I had to change something or I was going to lose everything. I had worked my way up the corporate ladder to the marketing director position at my company. I was proud of myself, I had done it on my own, and put in all the work I could.
But after working hard up the ladder, I had a baby, and continued to work 50+ hour weeks. One day out of the blue, I got demoted from the job I had worked so hard to get – for having a baby. I was mad. I had put loyalty into a company that wasnāt loyal back. I knew that if I wanted someone be loyal, dependable and make me money, then I had to change. So, I looked at what was possible.
I worked with a cousin to double their social media overnight. Soon business owners were asking how I did it. Then it all clicked. I could build a business doing what I was really good at and what I loved doing!
So I made a terrifying decision and quit my corporate job and went all in on building a virtual service business. That was 9 years ago and I havenāt looked back.
To my shock, I hit my first 10k month within the first 2 months, while working less in my sweatpants at home with my 6 month old son. I saw the light and I knew this was it. I had to keep on building and getting bigger and better, but most of all
I had to teach other moms how to do the same. Now I am a present, stay-at-home mom who also gets to chase my dreams. There is nothing like making money every month doing things you love doing.
